Meet Jason
Lead Remodeler, Caulk Whisperer
Jason fancies himself as the old fat guy on the crew (neither are true). Having been born and raised among the corn fields of SW Minnesota to two hard-working parents – one of which was self-employed – set the tone for his many years of self-employment and being a business owner/operator. An associates degree from CMC Leadville in outdoor recreation led him to work with troubled youth in the outdoors for many years and ultimately to buying a home built in the 1880s. As is necessary for any owner of a home of that vintage, this required Jason to build up both his toolkit and his skillset – with the hopes that one day he could build his own house. When Jason isn’t remodeling houses for Downstream he finds joy in his own backyard. “I would be a happy man if I never had to leave my backyard, we have chickens, a garden, and four holes of putt putt golf.”
A good man once told me, “everybody drops the ball sometimes…”
Fun Facts About Jason:
- Finisher of the Leadville Trail 100 Bike Race
- Has a goal of planting horseradish in all of his friends backyards, as well as asparagus up and down the Arkansas Valley
- President of the Cloud City Curling Club
- Has a loving wife, stepdaughter, 2 1/2 dogs, and a cat with 3 1/2 paws
